How calculations are made
Volume uses measured geometry or a capacity you enter from a manual or fill record. Salt and chemical tools calculate product amounts from water volume and the specified concentration change. pH and acid tools scale a matching test-kit chart dose.
Filling time uses the water still needed and measured flow. Water bills use your entered rate and any applicable marginal tiers, sewer charge and incremental fees. Heating estimates the heat delivered to the water before heat loss.
Examples show how the arithmetic works. Replace their inputs with your own measurements, current tests and product instructions.
How price examples are checked
Cost guides distinguish supplier prices from complete installed-project quotes. Each price names the product or published guide and its scope. Source links let you check the current item, included work, date and purchasing conditions.
A listed product price does not include unquoted labor or site work. We keep material examples separate from installer quotes and describe source conflicts when they affect a decision.
